Hi, my name is Ivette Ayala and I was born and raised in Mexico City, although I have also lived in Guadalajara, Mexico; Sydney, Australia and Philadelphia, USA. I studied Industrial Engineering at Tec de Monterrey and did my MBA at Wharton. I love reading non-fiction books, trying out new restaurants in the city, and running. I’m currently training to run my first marathon in Chicago in October 2023.
Why have you decided to join Klar in the first place?
I decided to join Klar because its mission of making banking more accessible resonated with me deeply. Klar's commitment to transparency and innovation stood out to me as the perfect environment to contribute my skills and make a meaningful impact. But most importantly, the talented and diverse team at Klar convinced me that this was the right place to grow both personally and professionally.
What is the most exciting part of your role at Klar?
The most exciting part of my role at Klar as Head of Engagement and User Analytics is the opportunity to drive impactful change and directly contribute to Klar's growth. Launching our Savings product was a particularly thrilling experience - witnessing the transformation from ideation to execution and seeing the product have such good traction has been incredibly rewarding.

The best part of working from Klar's Mexico office has undeniably been the incredible people and the strong sense of teamwork and camaraderie within the Growth team. I have been fortunate to be surrounded by talented and passionate people who are genuinely supportive and collaborative.
What motivates your daily work at Klar?
Collaborating with a talented team and having the autonomy to make data-driven decisions adds an extra layer of excitement to my role. I am also continually motivated by the chance to continue shaping the future of banking in Mexico and keep delivering exceptional value to our users at Klar.
Can you tell us about your career journey at Klar?
My career journey at Klar has been an incredible ride, marked by growth, learning, and exciting challenges. I joined Klar nearly two years ago when the team consisted of just 4 people and now we are more than 15. Time flies!
In the beginning, my role at Klar was more of a generalist, which allowed me to wear multiple hats and contribute to various aspects of the business. From brainstorming product names to actively participating in acquisition efforts, I had the opportunity to be involved in different aspects of the Growth team.
Over the past 10 months, my focus has shifted significantly towards the launch of our savings product. This exciting opportunity allowed me to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and execute a successful launch strategy and it has definitely been a period of intense growth I’m really grateful for.
